who holds the record for the fastest SOHC turbo street car?

 

i do!!!!!!!!! well not yet any prolly never will but i am going for 12s

 

I would say one that is street legal... (doesn't have to be a daily driver) stock weight or more...

 

slicks... just non-race car, full interior, glass everything... slicks, DR... stock wheels doesn't matter whatever gets you down the track... (that's what I would say)

 

i remember a cali crew called SVP had a single cam in low-mid 11 a few years back if i remember correctly. i think it was around 2001/2002.

Zex Man has been like 10.1 @ 145 or something close to that in T4 trim I believe. I consider that a "street Car".

I remember the ARfab hatch going like 11.2's at 130 somethin making like 500+ in full street trim. this was over a year ago though

 

I do not have the quickest SOHC Honda, but I think it is the fastest mph....148.20mph at an NDRA race, T4 trim, street legal.

 

how about non sponsored guys.. or purposed build race only )even if it is "streetable/street legal"

im more interested in the cars being build in personal garges, no sponsorships, weekend warrior type sohc...

not that zex man and the other arent fast, but i think it is more impressive if it is not sponsored.

i am hoping for low 11's possibly a high 10 if i ever learn to drive

I wasn't "sponsored" by ZEX, I work for them, so I put the logo on the side of the car. I was definately a privateer, I built the car in a leaky garage that had a half dirt/half concrete floor. I paid for just about everything on the car and built my own engines, transmissions, etc. There was no big budget in that car and it all came out of my pocket.

yeah thats my boy eddie car getting ready for CMI race in Nor cali as we speak........keep yah posted with some times.......think his fastest pass was like 11.2...........two three years ago new set up is crazey ill have him keep yah posted with times.......event going to be in two weeks april 23

haha thanks for the support guys. car is coming along, almost done. car won't be at full potential yet, since all the parts won't be in yet, but gotta get it back on the tracks and get some seat time. its been a while since my cars been out there. see you there!
