how can you tell which number without center console tag?
how many times is this question going ot be asked.. look in the faqs and search before you post. short answer is you can't, you'd have ot contact the original owner and see if he/she remembers.
I had the same situation as you when I bought mine. I just got a new plate from Acura (like $15) and had it engraved with the last five of my VIN. It's not the number that came with the car I know... but now ALL my numbers match

when you get a new one, it is in the plastic case (just as it sits on the armrest). carefully open the case and very carefully pull the badge out (use a small flat head and be gentle not to ding the edges). the badge is just stuck down by double sided tape. then take it to your local engraver... mine was $10 for labor. the only tricky part is having them use the right font and spacing so it looks factory. good times
