OK so im thinking of getting laminex anyway will this stuff fade and turn yellow?? and wont the pain fade underneith it ??? from not being able to wax it ?

 

I'm not sure about other FG's with laminx but I had it on my car for a few weeks and ONE of the lights has started to turn brown because the lights got so hot it burned it a bit.

I emailed laminx and they are sending me out a replacement kit... a thinner one. Should work. Honda and their hot *** bulbs and lenses

EDIT: For some reason I just thought you were talking about laminx for fog lights. I would suggest getting SOME kind of protection for your FG. I already have a few small chips on my bumper from rocks being thrown back at me by trucks. I can't avoid it though, they're all over the area I work. I wish I had the cash to spend for a laminx car cover kit.

All I can say about it is this...I opted NOT to get it, and now I've got several rock chips that took ALL the paint off of a particular spot. Although, I LOVE my new Si...it's got the same kind of paint job that most other Hondas do - $hitty!!!

It's almost like they put no clear coat on these cars at all. In some of my previous cars (even my bike), a rock chip would simply chip away some of the clear coat. I mean sure, you could see the chip, but it wasn't all the way to the metal!!! My Si is white with several dark grey chip marks now.

I'd suggest getting the Laminex just based on the lack of clearcoat on these cars.
