Default My H22 Civic dynoed at 505hp lost traction on dyno

1st dyno pull with stock 13" wheels and shitty tires put down 437 hp, 363 lb-ft of torque at 19 psi before the tires broke traction and ended the pull. The nice guys at InlinePro unstrapped the car and put some 15" wheels they had layin around on the car. The car then put down 505 hp, 326 lb-ft of torque still at 19 psi before the tires broke traction once again. They say if i come back with slicks on and they stay gripped, i should get mid 500's on 19 psi, maybe 600hp at ~24 psi.

The car has a holley in-tank 255LPH fuel pump that i think i'm going to ditch for an inline SX pump and go for ~28 psi and hopefully hit the 700 hp mark. Overall I'm super-happy with the 505 hp pull while breaking traction.

weird numbers! kinda looks like differnt boost levels or 3rd and 4th gear? the one run is 50 hp less all around below 80mph, the skyrockets like it wants to make an extra 100 horsepower and falls like a rock. the other run makes peak torque at redline!

when are you gonna redyno with some good tires?

i gotta ask.....were you not expecting to make that much power......or just not able to find anything other than 13 inch stock wheels LOL. looks like your on your way to big power

you gotta remember the tires were breaking traction everywhere which is why the curve fluctuates so much, and the speed parameter is vehicle speed not engine speed. they couldn't do engine speed because when it spiked due to no traction, the dyno would end the run.

Actually the green 505 pull was 16 lbs. and it spun, but not uncontrolled so that is why the graph is so gradual on the HP and it has that dip after the initial hit on the TQ...if it didn't spin up it might have made alittle more??? The red pull was done at 19-20 lbs. but the car would go straight to the rev-limiter once it hit full boost, but you can see the trend it was gonna take before it spun up over the 505 pull. Both pulls were done in 4th gear, but the red pull was not reved out since it was spinning so bad...

Hope this helps out

that explains everythign now i just didnt see that being possible at the same boost level! looks like its going to be real happy with a little more boost! h22s are fun when they work properly

Nice numbers no doubt!!!!

I thought my car was doing something good when I made 315whp on 10psi on a dyno that is known to read low. lol

Hi Mikey3000: I want to give you some good info here, now this is a good thing. If you dyno with your slicks, you will damage the sidewalls. The slicks could come apart, so PLEASE stand back.
