recommended rpm please
what's up guys? I did a search for the tires Im riding on now, but I couldn't find any information in here on what I should launch at for an optimum takeoff.
Last year I went to the track and ran a 14.7 @93 mph. that was on crappy mastercraft tires, and I had like a 2.19 or 2.2 60 foot.
Since then I have replaced those with Falken Ziex tires 185/70/14's (Ithink).
I launched at 2500 and feathered the clutch to get that last time, what do you all think I should launch at this time as I will obviously have better traction this time around?
Thanks for the help.

Thereis no correct answer for that. Your car, suspension, tires, weather, etc will all dictate your launch rpm. I say the most you can get without spinning. Yeah, good answer.
I don't mean to sound rash or anything, but that was already common knowledge to me. Thanks though.....
I in no way wanna be one of those "what will I run if I have this" type guys. I already have that idea down. I was just curious what the general concensus of how to achieve that.
just for the record, the car is an '89 Civic DX with stock B16A swap, no mods other than a Spoon flywheel and ACT street/strip clutch kit, as well as an invidia 2.25 inch cat-back exhaust. Car is gutted. and just to correct something I said earlier, the last sixty foot time I had was a 2.22 and the mph was 93.94 mph.
Thanks again.

what me and him were getting at is that every car is going to be completely differnt.
most guy sin the class leave at 7k+ rpm....i leave at 5300rpm. that changes every time we go to a differnt track...or hell even first pass of qualifying to the last pass....every car is going to be differnt, and every track is going to be differnt!
shift fast, not hard. dont break ****. dont run into things. and try not to spin the tires all the way down the track. other than that, its just all time in the drivers seat!
