any aftermarket plexi-glass for less weight?
any threads on this?
i know i should use the search button but im hoping to find some one who has done it.

Wellll you have to cut your entire roof off and weld on a new one, smooth it all out and repaint, so overall I'd give it a 10 out of 10 on the DIY CRX project scale
. Also, they are pretty rare and you're likely to pay around $1000 for the roof if you can find one.

Yeah, that links empty as Mike took it all down b/c of too many lame trash talkers on HT. One of the reasons you dont see Mike around here these days.....
If you do search, you can rest assured you finnd a slew of posts just like this, with people giving the #1 HT advice:search
It's about as simple as this:
-remove welds around roof section on your CRX and the glasstop.
-put in glasstop roof, and seal it/ weld it
voila.
If you've never done any major work, I wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole, or you may end up with a roofless rex, and a $1000 broken glasstop.
