Default I learned something this week

I installed a test pipe last weekend, I knew it would be louder but never thought it would effect my gas mileage. Since I installed it I've been going though a tank of gas faster than I usually do just for regular daily driving. Any thoughts?

do you still have the Oxygen sensor still in the striaght pipe or no? With no o2 sensor you would lose gas mileage.

No it's OBD I, 95 LS without the sensors. I had 2 holes for the sensors but sealed them. It’s only staying until the weekend, dyno day & track time at MSR. After that the cat goes back on. I can't deal with the added noise & the smell. I'll post photos of the weekend.

</TD></TR></TABLE>there ya go, with no o2 sensor the the ecu has to guess what the a/f mixture is. but once the CEL comes the ecu automatically richens the fuel mixture and retards timing.

Damn, I not throwing any any warning lights but I hoped buy adding this would result in more power.

limp mode is when the ecu cuts off the fuel like @4k rpms. but richening the fuel and retarding the timing is helping to safe gaurd the motor.
