Vibration at idle on '95 Accord
I got a '95 Accord LX with only 51k miles on it. When I bought it it only had 47k.
It always had this bad, annoying vibration at idle.
It shakes the whole car (not too crazy, but enough to get irritated)
I cleaned my IACV and FITV and it still does the same thing.
Any ideas anyone?
Philadd and MooGoCow3 where aaaareeeee yoooooouuuu?

Could be one, or more broken motor mounts. Check it out. Get someone to hold the brake pedal firm. Then put the car in D and give it a little gas. Then put the car in reverse, and give it a little gas. Watch the motor. Movement (engine rises) should point out where the bad mount is (if one is broken). Good luck
Its a manual, no (D).
Bad motor mount at 50k on a Honda?
I was really doubting that one but I'll check it out tomorrow at work.
What do you guys think about those "Energy Performance" motor mount inserts?
Thanx guys.

I don't know how you would do that with a manual trans. I guess the e-brakes would work, if they can hold the car still.
Power braking, and poping the clutch, can break a mount pretty quick. Do you have a habit of doing these things?

I grew out of doing stupid crap long time ago. I respect my car and would never treat it like a p.o.s. Like I said its been doing it since I bought it. I got it wreaked, not too bad, scratches on both bumpers, hood pushed in a little, never touched the radiator support. Air bags popped out and busted winshield.
$1700 for a '95 clean, 46k miles, all original c-mon!!!
By the way, "off the topic" does anyone knows where I can get a pass. air bag cover (tan). Just the cover. The one I bought was black, tried to paint it but the color dont match too much. Got a good deal on the bags too $300 for both with the module, couldnt let that one slip away (even though pass. side dont match)
