camcorder mounting questions
Just got my first camcorder and mounted it on my Kirk roll bar on the little piece that connnects the harness bar with the diagonal. I have the autopower mount, and a Canon Elura 100 camera.
It's a great location, but unfortunately, my rear view mirror blocks a lot what I want to record. I thought about removing my passenger seat head rest and mounting it above that seat, but I'd prefer to have it closer to representing my vision - unless a wide angle lens will solve that issue. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks.
Another issue I had and posted elsewhere about, is the camera picked up button rattle, since the buttons have play in them. Someone suggested getting a cheap microphone and sticking it between the rear seats, as that will also eliminate the wind noise....
I'm very new to the camcorder scene (in-car, or otherwise), so any friendly (I know - tough crowd!) suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.
