Default Accord newbie, auto climate control LCD light question

I just purchased a 99 EX V-6. It has the automatic climate controls installed in it. At night when the lights are on the climate controls do not have a back light, so they are difficult to adjust. The buttons are lighted, but the LCD screen is not. Is this the way that it has been designed, or do I have a light out?

You just need to replace the bulbs. If you have a little knowledge about interior work you should be able to do it but if not I would reccomend taking it to the dealer and have them replace the bulbs. If they try to tell you the control unit is bad call them liars.

Thanks for the help, do you know if it is difficult to get into the dash unit?

It's pretty easy, with a little patience. But if you have never removed something from your car before I wouldn't try it

My car’s stupid clock bulb never worked, even when car was brand spanking new, then I went to the dealer they told me I have a defective clock, so then can order a new clock – I said forget it.

I installed a resister with a LED – no more clock bulb problem.
