Yea, I have a question for you though. Does your domelight work when the door is open? If so then your headunit is party working, and you can maintain keyless entry if you get a new fob. If the dome light does not work than your radio tottaly took a **** on you.
yeah my dome light works put i keep it on the off position - and i shaved my antenna - so i only need a cd player and i just purchased a Sirius radio, so like i said - is it safe to take out my old radio & stock CD player put still have the keyless entry?
you HAVE to keep the stock radio in if you still would like you stock keyless entry to work. There is enough room like back in behind like where your your cup holder is. you might have to wedge it in like a tight spot but it'll fit.

The years 96-98 civics used the factory radio for its keyless entry main unit. When you take out the OEM radio it wont work unless you buy the kit that allows the OEM radio to hide in the car somewhere.

lol oh man... No one is asking about the radio being removed!
You can take the aux unit out without any issues with keyless, its only if you remove the radio itself.
Go ahead and take it out

on me. I see what he is saying now. Yes you can take that out and have no repurcussions.
