I know everybody raves about the Si tranny and if this is my only option than great I'll go with it.I'll be the first to admit I'm not super knowledgeable about tranny's I say that to use as a clause in case (always happens) some expert will chime in and call me an idiot for not knowing what the hell I'm talking about.
What I'd like to know is can I swap out the gearing in a transmission for my 88 Civic EF?? Maybe taking the Si tranny and make it even more peppy or do I have to go with the stock gearing?? Also is this expensive??
I ask this because instead of buying a rebuilt Si tranny for $200-300 I was wondering if it's be wiser to buy a crapped out Si tranny and have the internals swapped out??? Thanks for all your help!!
