91 ACC.EX H-22A.SWAP/TIMING QUESTIONS !!
IT ALL STARTED WITH MY MOTOR CUTTING OUT WHEN EVER I WAS FULL THROTTLE ,FINALLY LOST ALL POWER WOULDNT START SOUNDED LIKE SOMETHING WOULD GRIND. REMOVED VALVE COVER,TIMING BELT VERY LOOSE! ANYONE NO WHY ?AND HOW MUCH DAMAGE COULD HAVE HAPPEND OR IF ANY ? AND CAN I USE OR SHOULD I USE THE SAME BELT ?
check ur cams gears...make sure u havent jumped timing...as far as damage it could be anywhere from bent valves to a badly damaged motor...but if the car is still driving and feeling like its not making any power u probbaly just bent the valves real bad...
if the timing has jumped, just set it back to normal and do a compression test..if its still good just get a new timing belt and tbelt tensioner(a new spring will be just as good)...if the compression is off then its time for a visit to the machine shop
