Yokohama Advan A032R
Anyone running these tires on their R? or who have had them before?
I'm picking up a set of 205/50/15 (Hard Compound) for mine for a really good deal.
Wanted to know how they perform, tread life, and how they respond in the rain
Thank You

They be sticky icky like the dank we got up here. Not as good as A048, but still good. Just dont use them on the street please. If u want something for street duty get the new azenis. I love em in the rain and in the dry
I run the A032R (soft) for my track tires. They do not have the ultimate grip as something like the RA1, but because Seattle isn't known for its dry weather, and track days are non-refundable, the wet grip justifies the purchase.
I only ran these tires once on the street as a heat cycle, and loud is the first word that comes to mind. They are noisy, a constant droning hum.
With the hard compound, expect 4,000-5,000 miles for daily driving only. Subtract 10-15% for each track day.

I've used them on my R for the track. They're a decent track tire. But like all track tires, they wear rapidly, they're not good in the rain (although they're better than other track tires), and they need to be heated up to get the full performance - all of which make them not a good choice for street use. And, as mentioned above, they are unusually loud. I typically got around 1500 track miles plus another 400 street miles between the track and the hotel, and that's starting with them UNshaved and driving them until the belts show.

Then your opinion differs from everyone I know who has run both, including Grassroots Motorsports.

I have tried the A032R (H), RA1 and A048 (S) on my Type R.
The A032Rs are a great R compound tire - their only real flaw is the noise they make. Your car will sound like a gumbo mudder on concrete. If you like listening to your radio a lot - I think you will find the A032Rs annoying. But like others have said - good rain tire, even wearing and gradual breakaway.
