What to Expect from 1994-96 Integra GSR?
I'm in the market of purchasing an Acura Integra GSR years between 94-96..Are there any common problems that arise for those of you who have recently purchased on in the past? HELP!
ummm, there are many, and I mean many responses to this. Look at when the timing belt was done. And I have noticed the other big thing to go on those cars are the radiators. Oh, also the water pump too. Maybe a clutch? See how it grabs for you. Good luck getting your car.

Well, of course a the clutch. Thats a given on any MT vehicle.
I have a 94 gsr and all i can say is that it has a ticking sound from inside the motor. I have already done a valve adjustment but it is still ticking. Im thinking it is the LMA's. I know alot of integras have this problem.
Just make sure the maintenance was kept up well on the vehicle and you should be straight.

What are the LMA's?
To the OP: My 1994 GS-R runs top-notch. I had the timing belt, drive belts, pulley tensioners, and water pump changed at 95,000 miles, I replaced the radiator with a Koyo Racing unit at 130,000 miles, and recently replaced my clutch at 134,000 miles. The car has always started, and ran without hiccups ever since it was new. I am the second owner, and life-long friends with the original owner. If the maintenance has been kept up on, and the owner(s) have cared for the car, you should have a beautifully driving Integra.

common problems with my 94GSR as well as others: (most are fixable)
window rattle (clean the track and glue the gasket/seal in place...)
leaking tail light gasket causing water to get into the trunk (replace tail light gasket)
ABS Leak (replace O ring)
oil leak around cam seal leak (replace cam seal)
Exhaust rattles (remove or bend heat shields)

I dont know, the ticking usually quiets when its been running for a while and its not a consistant ticking. Its kind of hard to explain. It does do it when clutch is ingaged and out.

Lost Motion Assemblys. The camshaft rides on them (total of 8). Here is a thread that will educate you. Very informative.

^ you may have just saved me several hours of losing my sanity :D
I just bought a 94 GSR, and I love it. Previous owner had a timing belt change and a new (ITR) clutch put in over the five years he had it. Sounds like it needed little maintenance besides those couple of things. Oh, and the car's front washer pump doesn't seem to work just after I got it... maybe check those, haha.
good luck!

Just a word of advice..
I recently bought a 94 DB8 and learned this:
Ask if it has a thermostat. If it doesn't, walk away and don't look back. It can be a cracked head or a blown headgasket, like I found out I have

Yep, the thermostat is no problem...
Removing a head is slightly more involved and difficult.. Not to mention much more expensive
Also, if your in Fl or basically anywhere that flooding can happen, be sure to check for flood damage and ALWAYS run a car fax. Well worth the money.
