Searched: failed emissions....hydrocarbons and NOx
okay, i failed emissions. to be exact, i ran a 1.2536 grams/mile for hydrocarbons (legal limit is .8) and NOx ran 3.1805 grams/mile (legal limit 2.0). passed CO at 11.0997 (legal limit 15.0). my car has no cat, that is why it failed. it has a test pipe with no o2 sensors. is there anything i can do to make my car pass without having to get a cat, which in turn would have to get a new exhaust since it is header back (welded together from the manifold back). any and all suggestions are welcome, i got until september 1st, but want it done and out of the way. thanks in advance.
EGR problems are #1 cause of NOx emissions, you might be running too rich in addition to that since your hydrocarbons are high.
