chip recomendation
Ok fellas, here are my modz, I'm taking her to the dyno in a couple of weeks
CAI Intake
4:1 Header
Cat back Exhaust
Stage 3 clutch
Underdrive crank pulley
Stage 2 cams (comp cams)
dual valve springs and titanium retainers (cat cams)
Adjustable cam gears
arg I believe that is it...Anyways my buddy and I installed the cams, valve springs, retainers and adjustable cam gears over the weekend. My car did not blow up and runs fine. My timing is currently at top dead centre. OK I know what your all saying...go dyno and tune it ... I am. What I would like to know is your opinion as to what chip and/or program to go with. My buddy at the dyno shop said to go with a p73.
What do you my trusted honda-tech buddies think? Any other details I'm leaving out, ask away and I will try to answer.

If your going to be running a 'program' (Chrome, Neptune, Uberdata...) then a P73 ECU will not work. As far as I know, all Type-R's are OBD2 compliant, which means for these programs to work, you will need an OBD1 compliant ECU. Generally, the best route to go is using a P28 from an early 90's Honda Civic SI 2-door with a manual transmission.
If you like tunability, then this is the way to go. If your simply seeking the use of a pre-set map with values that cannot be changed, that is where the Mugen ECU, SPOON ECU, JUN ECU....come into play. All of those are uber expensive however. Also if you ever changed something in your setup these ECU's may not take to the change as well.
As an example, I'm using a P28 ECU and the tuning program Chrome which is free to download off the internet.
