1999 honda accord check engine light on
I have a 1999 Honda Accord 4 cyl with the check engine codes , p 1491, p 0133,
p 0171, and p 0420. I have read about plugged egr ports causing these code problems. Since it has 133k miles Honda will probably not be of help with any warranty. I also hear that catalytic converters can be a problem too.
Any help with this repair is appreciated.

call ur local honda dealer or use ownerlink to find out if the egr recalls have been done, if they have, might want to check those O2 sensors.
It will cost you about $200 to get the EGR recall done.....or you an do it yourself (see 6th gen FAQ for TSB links)

The 1491 code means the EGR valve is not operating, it could be the cause of the other codes.
I will say that I've replaced a few dozen of those CAT converters though.
