There are a bunch of people on vwvortex making fun of the intake on the car with a pic of it.

******** like that give VW heads a bad name. unfortunatly when im at the track putting down numbers, you honda guys automatically think im a jackass, and rightfully so. if you notice though, im about the only guy in that thread that isnt a narrow minded VW tool, i just love VWs and cant get away from them. after all, i drive a VW because they are expected to be slow, and suprise people when it isnt quite as slow as they think. i think the all motor CRX is awesome, crazy intake and all

i never got to ask, but why is the intake sooooooooooooooooo long?

it really looked over the edge but i am sure you have a reason. i do some crazy **** myself so i will give you the benefit to explain.

what were you running for times anyway, what set up? I think you had slicks on?

I was in the Blue VW R32 running 12.8's all motor!

still havent seen the pics, but the longer the intake, usually the better the power. RLZ has an itr aem cai that the test against whatever youve got and as far as i know the only thing thats beat it is rlz NA intake box which isnt for street use

I like making fun of vw drivers when they get beat by hondas. I use to have a gti vr6 as my beater car and would always take my turbo civic to the vw meets haha

if you want your ram intake to work right, you should dyno tune the right length... an intake tube that is too long will hurt some power.. but good **** on the 12.2 tho...

Dyno wont show the positive pressure that happens in front of that stack.

basically, the same as tuning velocity stacks and injector placement. you can gain/loose power depending how far out the injector is for air/fuel mixture before hitting the combustion chamber. All of which will be found with lots of dyno tuning time.

12.2 is good! slicks or radials? If you can do that on radials then you got a nice Street Stock car to use for NHRA! just don't think they will allow the intake!

That is the only problem i see with it, have to keep that front end together.
