Accord Lease Deals....any hidden catches?
I am considering leasing an 06 V6 EX accord coupe. Lease payment is 289 a month for 36 months with 1000 down plus first month's payment. I've leased before but I transferred the lease before the term was up. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with Honda's lease programs? I understand if you go over in mileage you are screwed with fees but this car will not be a daily driver. Thanks for your time.

things to look out for
requirement that the dealer do all of your maint work
milage allowance
price per mile if you go over it
what will the car actually be worth vs what they think it will be worth
any other hidden fees. IF they are honest, everything will be discosed up front

my assumption is that mileage granted is 12k a year. good call on the maint., ill have to ask on that one.
i think the residual value (i think thats the word) is set in stone from day 1. you have the option at the end of the lease to buy for this amount or you can opt out.

still ask about it because some leases are open ended in that regard (IE if the car is worth more than the lease projected, you get a bonus or if it is worth less you pay a penalty)
I dunn like to lease a car because there are too many things that you can get stuckw ith.........

honda leases are great. that's how i picked up my accord back in 1996. if you're going to buy it, you don't have to worry so much about the mileage, but if you're going to return it, pay attention to the fine print. the interest rate is very reasonable, and the actual principle amount that is applied towards the car is quite favorable.
no offense, but dont lease a car. leasing in my opinion is retarded unless you can write it off on ur taxes as a business car. leasing has caused my fam problems not with honda but with bmw, and after that i say if u cant afford to BUY a new one then BUY a used one. a lease is like renting a car, and your throwing away your money, atleast when you buy a car when its fully paid off and you decide to sell it you have cash in your pocket from your investment, so ya like i said dont lease. you could easily get an 03-04 accord coupe with not such bad miles fr the same price as that lease payment on the 06.
