97 Accord LX reliable?

97 Accord LX reliable?
my dad is looking into buyin a 97 lx but its a 6cyl. I've heard that some 6cyl's have had problems in the past that they arnt as reliable as the 4 bangers. has anyone owned a 6 cyl before?

the 5th gen V6 cars are very reliable those motors can easily 300K. The trans should make it there as well. It's the 6th gen V6 cars that are problems

You just need to be sure to keep up on the maintnence with those. Those engines can be money pits if they start to leak oil too. But as long as the maintnence is kept up then there arent any real issues.

maintenance is no problem man. im always on top of that i check everything atleast once a week at my job. the car i think has like 192xxx all leather interiror no dents or anything and its going for 3400 how does the price sound?
