Anyone running 100% water in their radiator?
Quite a few of my friends are running pure water in their radiator and no coolent, they say that putting in coolent will corrrod the inner part of the radiator.
What are your views on it?
FYI i live in Malaysia which is about 25c-34c temps all year round.

For a race car, straight water + water wetter is ideal, you get optimum cooling.
However, electrolisys and corrosion can occur without the anti-corrosive properties found in most coolants, which can lead to rust and pitting. I run a 25% coolant / 75% water mix + 1 bottle of water wetter.

Depends on the state you are. In colder states if you run pure water it will freeze up and their goes your cooling system and motor. I would never run pure water. Think about the temp that is going to be at. And water can cause your cooling system to rust.

I suppose it's very cold by you?
I am currently running straight water in my "race car". Glad I didn't freeze over this last weekend
Water is a better coolant (higher specific heat) than Glycol. Keep that in mind when mixing... Just aim to get the best cold-weather performance you need and mix to that.
