Default do i have to convert....

excuse the somewhat noob question but do i have to conver to obd1 or obd2 in my 89 civic si wiht the stock d16a6 to run a vtec head and an APEXi vafc? and what did you guys do to get your mini-me running right?

You dont have to convert to obd1..Chip the si ecu with different timing and fuel maps for the sohc vtec engine ..Use turboedit for this,,you can also control the vtec with turboedit on a nonvtec ecu with the ac clutch relay..

If you want VTEC to kick in, all you need is a VTEC ecu. You can use the JDM B16A, which is the PR3 or PW0.
