Default VAFC Install

alright i bought a vafc (the first one) and im going to use it in my project car. im putting a sohc vtec head into it soon and im going to use this as the vtec controller. i printed out the instructions online because the previous owner didnt have one and i was wondering if any of you guys on here installed your vafc yourself and how hard it was as well as if anyone has pics of theirs in their cars that would be great or wiring diagrams as well thanx

also does anyone have a stand for this damn thing let me know mine didnt come with the pimp stand LOL

its pretty easy if you just take your time. use proper methods too, it'll save you headaches in the future. solder the connections, shrink wrap them air tight(make sure theres no sharp solder). i printed my instructions at school, all 100+ pages(instructions for each application lol).

your going to use a vtec ecu right?

yeah, the vafc could be rigged to work without a vtec computer, but thats not all there is to vtec(you might already know this). with the cam shift you also have a fuel and ignition change when vtec engages, to fully utilize the vtec cam.

as for mounting, i have seen some people mount it in there glove box on a cutout plate(piece of plastic). looks good and secure.
