I searched and read all the forums I could find but none of the ones I found had a solution for my specific problem. It seems to me that every Si hatch has some sort of sunroof problem or another

Ok so my problem is when I want to close the sunroof it will not go down in the back. The glass will slide all the way foreward, but no matter what I try the back part of the glass will not go down. When you push the button that lifts the back part of the glass up and down it makes a noise and moves back a touch, but nothing happens after that. If you push foreward/up on the button it just moves the glass that little touch foreward, and leaves me back at square one.

Has anyone put new switches in from other companys that may work better?

if you take the motor down off of the roof it has a timing gear on it. you need to check and make sure the timing is set correct. their are 2 missing teeth in the section on it that line up with a cut off switch when the roof is closed and for vent up. also on the tracks their are rectangle cutouts that stops a part of the tracks when it is coming forward to allow the back to drop, if the plastic on the tracks does not pop up into the cutouts the back will not drop, or if the front of the plastic that pops up into the cutout is rounded off it will not catch in the cutout and will go to far forward and bind up before it can lower the back. you cannot see thes cutout without removing the glass panel out of the sunroof assembly(6 allen bolts-use pb blaster- do not strip these out). the best thing you can do is get a service manual off of ebay for about 5 bucks it helps alot. I got mine ( and some ecu parts)from simplepcnetworks and it is exact honda manual. hope this helps.
