Default ecu 2 step chip?

Hey was going on guys.. I wanna know if anyone can point me in the right direction here. I was talkin to a guy and he said he can chip a 2 step in my ecu for $20.. so i figure this can't be too hard to chip ecu's.. So I wanna do some reading about this. Various How To's. How to install the actual chip and how to program a 2 step and whatever other programs that you are able to chip. I am pretty good at computers and soldering so I don't think it will be too hard for me.. I just want to get a little background before I jump in head first.. Thanks for the help

okay I found some good write ups on how to install the parts to chip the ecu. I was readin about uberdata and pherable.net installs.

The part I am confused about is the actual programing part. I dow I burn the chip (program the chip)
