To cover or not to cover that is the ¿?
I have a company car and only drive my si as a weekend warrior. My question is do the oem car covers help or hurt the paint. The obvious answer is that they help because they block contact from the sun, however could they hinder by trapping moisture and creating mildew? Or do the oem car covers breath well enough to not create any problems? Thoughts please...
OEM covers are indoor covers and allow plenty of breathing. You will have no issue of mildew. The only thing is to make sure the car is clean before covering.
I got one when i originally got the car about 4 weeks ago. As of right now it still sits in the trunk until i can make up my mind whether to keep it or send it back and get the money. I guess i was kinda waiting to see a topic like this one and i guess ill start using it

why do you guys need those cover? if your car is inside a garage, it's pretty much safe. the only it will collect is dust.
i assume those cover is useless outdoor because it might get blown off or people might mess with them.

and i think there is a thing you can lock it with.. if not.. no one is gonna mess with ur ****.. i've personally never seen that anyway

You can only put a car cover on a completely clean car. Putting a cover on car that is even slightly dirty may get you swirl marks.

its like rubbing dirt into your car
the cover pushes the dirt against the car
