ok so i just put seven dollars in my tank and the needle was still in the red like barely i mean barely above it i mean i got like 2 to 3 gallons cant rember so i wuld atleast think it would be a quarter full so is my gas gauge thing messed up or wat else can it be

 

Just fill up and see how it moves.

well i would atlest think seven dollars would move it up a quarter of a way so i think it is messed up cause five fills my bros halfway and **** lol

 

Gas gauge is probbly on its last legs.

They tend to read farther and farther off untill they totally give up.

 

Gas is measured in gallons (or liters or any other unit of volume), not dollars. If you say you put $5 in your tank, that doesn't mean **** because if your gas happens to be $1.50 a gallon that is quite different then, say, if I got $5 worth of gas at my local gas station for $2.60 which is about what it is now. I believe the CRX has an 11 gallon gas tank. I just put 9.06 gallons in mine and the needle was on E, but from what I've been told, the needle will drop below the E well before you're out of gas. There's no low fuel light though so be careful.
