Falken Azenis RT215...discontinued??
so after going through 2 sets of these i need more and every where i find them, they say these are discontinued and replaced by the RT615's....i dont quite like the 615's they cost almost $20 more then what RT215's have cost me in the past. At the same time i keep seeing more and more new setups with the RT215's so i'm just curious as how are people getting a hold of these tires if they're not made anymore!. thanks...

They were discontinued almost a year ago. People are still getting them, and getting them cheap because the ones that were already made and sold to distributors have to be sold. Look around, you may still find some on ebay or something pretty cheap, but once theire gone there will be no more.
I know the RT615's are more but let me just say out on track they are superior to the old RT215's. I have driven both on track on the same type of vehicle and the RT615's are a great tire.
Yup, they're discontinued.

Right before the RT-215 was discontinued, they were selling for $74/tire in 205/50-15 at Vulcan. When the RT-615 came out, it was priced higher, but they lowered prices in January and the same size is now selling for $77/tire.
The RT-615 did even better than the RT-215 in last year's Grassroots Motorsports tire test.

damn, well i cant seem to find the RT215's anymore, from what i read, what you guys posted..the 615's do a better job..but are they a soft compound likt eh RT215's? cuz my RT215's barely last 7-8k before they start giving out, and thats with normal driving.....so all i wanna know is, if i spend more money on the RT615's....do they have a longer life then 215's? thanks..

Although I don't know anyone who has yet used up a set of RT-615, I haven't heard anyone claim that they last longer, and they have the same treadwear rating as the RT-215. So I would expect about the same treadlife as the RT-215.
There are lots of other tires that last longer than the Azenis (either version) but none are as sticky. If you want something that lasts longer, tell us what kind of car you have (year, model, version) and what diameter wheels, and whether you use them on the track or just on the street, and we can make a recommendation.
