i dont know where to start, ive had this car for about a month now and it didnt run right when i got it. it spits and sputters especially when its warm but i drove it 15 minutes to get it home. ive done a rebuilt head, ecm, plugs and wires and dizzy, when i got it all back together it started right up and idled fine but it still lacks ***** and now recently its been doing the same things. if its idleing and you floor it, it will only rev to about 3k and then it backfires really bad and little pebble sized chunks of cat start pinging around in the exhaust till they finally fly out the back. its really pissing me off i dont know what else to check. the pgm-fi light was on when i got the car but it hasnt been on since i did all of this work. any suggestions will help me out alot. thanks guys

its sound like you may have a clogged cat problem. you watch cat and see if it get bright red. if it does then you cat is clogged. hope this might help a little bit. i have seen this before in newer civics like 01 and newer.
