Default Brake lights dont work after alarm install

i got my viper 791xv installed in december, and ever since:

my third brake light doest turn on,

my trunk lights dont turn on when i brake, they only turn on when i turn my headlights on (but dont get brighter when i brake)

so basically in the day time when i brake all u see is my two outer tails turn on. as oppose to all five.

is this a fuse problem or.......?

That is an alarm & remote starter right? If it is, they have to tap the brake light wire (at the pedal usually) for the starter portion, which could have caused a problem.

I'm assuming you checked all the bulbs?
Make sure the bulbs are good. Switch with others if they fit. A month after I installed a new brake light switch on my hatch, all of my brake lights went out & I was like WTF! Thinking they couldnt have gone out at the same time i checked all fuses, switch...driving me nuts. Even when I physically looked at the bulbs they didnt look blown. Not until I changed them is when they worked.

Sounds like simply the taillights work, but not the brakelights do not. If you haven't checked the bulbs yet, make sure you atleast try that.

If his other brake lights work it is not a brake light switch problems. Just check the bulbs in the rear trunk first. The middle one I believe you have to unscrew the plastic holder to get to that one but check the bulbs first...takes like two seconds.

Lol. That was funny to read.

The fuse box is under the dash on the driver side. Use the fuse puller and pull the fuse out and look to see if its blown or not. It the metal piece is broken then its blown.

Does your cluster/climate control light up?

If not, check your fuse as well. 10A or something is the tail light/instrumental fuse.

the fuse for the horn/brake light is under the hood. if it was the one under the dash then the cluster lights would be out

sorry if the "brake switch" confused you, I meant "brake sensor" I doubt all the lights ONLY used for braking just HAPPEND to die at EXACTLY the same time.....

Just a lil weird, but go ahead, replace all the bulbs..

Again dude, try unplugging the bulbs from a brake light that works, take out the one that doesn't inspect the bulb switch it for the hell of it.
