Default Exedy Stage 1 Clutch, loose spline on clutch disc? Not hapy.

Hey guys. Just recently blew my motor in my hatch, my 140k D16Y7. We took my tranny off, and what I thought was a bad inputshaft bearing ended up being a loose spline on my clutch disc. The clutch has been in for about 7 months. What could be the cause of this? Yes, I did beat on it and go to the track, it had 3 passes on drag radials, but why would this happen? Now I need to buy a new clutch disc now and my car will be apart even longer.

Any insight? Thanks.

-James

PS: I can't spell.

a loose spline on your clutch disc? or did you mean a loose spline on your pressure plate? or maybe even a loose spring in your sprung clutch disc?

The spring/s is broken or spring pocket is worn out. I have had this happen many times on stock style disc.

what i highlighted is loose. is that what you are talking about Runnerdown? I didn't know there was a spring in there. all the springs on the outside are stiff and fine.

yes on the inside the center hub you highlighted is held tight to the springs, if the springs are ok then the part inside that rides against them is worn out.
