mmmmm.............seems kinda low for a GS-R with CTR cams and all those other mods listed in your sig......?

who did the tuning? what was the baseline HP figure?

 

John (VaporTrail) from FI forum did the tuning..... low peak HP is typical for a high mileage engine or from what I hear. The baseline was the lower shown figures. I suppose I was expecting better peak HP but I'm very pleased with the peak torque and even more pleased with my low-end and mid-range gains. It feels so much better!

 

137,000 miles and still going strong.
That's bad ***.Mine's got 105,000 miles.

 

Those numbers do seem low, but then again you have over 100,000 miles.

 

Think about getting the skunk2 intake manifold. I had 158whp w/ I/IM/H/E and No tuning. I believe you'll see higher peak numbers w/ it. 88,000 miles.

 

I really would but I am seriously done with modding this car. I am pleased with the performance now and sure, I realize there are bigger and better mods to do, but I cannot see myself spending any more into my daily driver.

So you dyno'd 158 peak with no cams or VAFC also... just, I/H/E and S2 IM?

 

good torque numbers but ur hp does seem kinda low (regardless of hi mileage)
Gee3 has almost 165.xx with CTR cams and same set up as urs.
get the skunk2 mani and see ur hp jump into the high 160's.

my dyno is one here. it was posted a few days ago in the ITR forum.
i can email them to ur if ur interested

also ur A/F ratios are all over the place. once those are cleaned up, u will have more power no doubt

...ah..you can do one more mod ....Yea 158whp with ITR CAI, Skunk2 IM, JDM 4:1, Carsound Cat, Tanabe catback...nothing else...no tuning... dyno plot is on my website...

 

thre's something wrong. Are you SURE you have CTR cams? My car made 176 whp with similar setup.

 

I saw the install right before my eyes.

'94 with 135k vs. your '00 with much lower mileage I'm sure.
