Default Overflow tank

Looked at my overflow tank the other day and it was a lil passed max so I dumped out some to where it was in the middle of Min and Max and drove around for a little while and my car feels like it's about to die when come to a stop. It starts idleing real low if I don't turn on the heater.

Do I just need to flush/bleed the radiator or is there another problem?

How do I do that?

When I opened the cap this morning (haven't been driving since last night) some came out. After I got back from driving, it was at Max again on the overflow tank.

Make sure your motor is cool, take off the radiator cap with a rag and look in there to see if the fluid is at the top. If you cant tell, stick your finger in there to feel if its above the core. If its not top it off.

and what do u mean some came out? like when u took the cap off the radiator it overflowed?

When the fluids were replaced were they placed in the radiator not the overflow?

Yeah, when I took off the radiator cap some came out.

The temp gauge says at normal even when my car feels like it's about to die. It drops down to like 200 rpm.

Replaced? I never touched the radiator or the overflow tank before.

pop the plug, drain the radiator, empty your overflow, then fill your radiator with that 50.50 antifreeze and see how it is from there.

you might have bad fluid, and it dosent hurt to get new stuff in.

When I first got the car it was covered in dirt, like layers inside and out of the car. I cleaned it up but there's still dirt around the injectors and IM.

Dumb question but are you supposed to put water or radiator fluid in the overflow tank? Or anything at all?
