<---New EF honor...anyone familiar with this?
What's up everyone, finally after having the car sit for about 4 months, I registered my 1991 Si today.
For now the car is going to be my daily driver to give my car some R&R, eventually I'm going to give it to my girlfriend.
Did the basic tune-up today, motor needs a lot of care...so we've decided to throw a b16 swap in.
Anyway, whenever the car is on and a door is opened, a persistent beeping starts. If you kill the ignition, and restart the car it will go away unless a door is opened again. As you can imagine, it's VERY annoying, and was wondering if it's a safety-sensor or something? The noise seems to be coming from the roof right above the rear-view.
This is my first time owning an older-model Honda, and was hoping you guys could teach me a thing or two.
Thanks

If this is like my hatch, you'll have a seat belt display of sorts above the mirror.
Remove the "display" cover, unplug the blue connector inside.
No more beeping.

Don't butcher the car.
The courtesy switch mechanism in the door is dirty and probably doesn't disengage the sensor properly.
Clean it with some Simple Green & flush it with water & u'r golden.
And... welcome to EF'dom.

Thanks everyone for the input. Didn't have time to take care of it today, it was too nice outside not to take my gsr out for a little.
I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of me
