Default omni coilovers and upper A arm issues

I upgraded my shocks and springs from koni reds/H&R Race to the fully adjustable omnipower coilovers. I set the ride height to be the same, but now on the driver side front im pretty sure the upper A arm is hitting the top of the wheel well on moderately large bumps. How could this be? compressed the two different setups should be the same length, the only thing i could think it would be is the higher rates could be causing the upper arm to move more....

help me please

On our cars, if you lower the car too much, the upper arm's available travel is decreased as well. In extreme cases, bump will cause the upper arm to make contact with the top of your shock tower; this is a sign that you might want to raise the car a bit.
