Default Oversize Valves??? Anyone have experience with them on an H22?

My mechanic will be installing oversize valves on my H22 when we rip it apart is there anyone with experience in installing these are there any problems with installing them? And yes do realize the valve seats have to be cut to accomodate them.... I'm asking about valve clearance..... Thanks

Unless you are going FI, you will probably hurt performance by using oversized valves.

care to elaborate? I'm sure there must be a reason for companies to be making them.....

I second that, I would also like to know why oversized valves would be "useless"

you only need them if you're pushing 600 + hp. stock valve sizes do just fine even after 600 hp.

I real do appreciate your opinion however I'm not sure that was really a good explination of your theory.... Somehow I think a car running under 600 hp would benefit from this mod... My mechanic runs 487hp out of a daily driven b18 turbo and he has oversize valves so their must be some kinda benefit to the mod.... He actually said the oversize valves would be a good mod.... Not only do stainless steel valves resist heat better they also flow more air in and out of the combustion chamber..... I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with this mod on their car......

As well if you do have anything too say can you please explain your theory behind your comment as this post is up to further educate me Thanks

oversized valves allow more air flow into the combustin chamber...with the oversized valves, the seating area is larger which in turn allows more air to enter the chamber in the time it takes to open and close the valve...more air is crammed in for the amount of time u have the valve open
