if and whaen i do the project i will probably have to start it next spring(my parents wont let me get a car until a couple months before i get my permit...15 years old already owned to cars just to sell and make some cash and i go to vo tech so i know how to worl on cars plus my dad sells used cars so i get lots of experience.)

check out redpepperracing.com if you havent already, 3G Civics are badass, i want one (or two, or three) myself.
EF civics are cool too, but i just love the EA's for some reason.

what are the right parts?and if i did do a carb setup i would probably use a dpfi or an old civic carb manifold and put a new flange on it and use a small 4 barrell.

In Japan (and probably Europe), the base model 1988-1991 Civic/CRX had a carbed D15B. If you get your hands on one of the JDM replacement D15B motors, you will notice a blockoff plate on the rear of the head where the mechanical fuel pump bolts. But no carbed ED/EF Civics were ever available in the US. DPFI just LOOKS like a carburetor.
