I've actually asked this on another used S2K I found but I wanted to get the going rate for a 2001 Spa Yellow S2k with 13,000 miles. Overall perfect condition(I really didn't go over it too much though). This has been sitting at a local Honda dealership lot for quite a while and the salesman said they are willing to haggle "a lot"...

edmunds.com says the TMV (True Market Value) is $30,969, and kbb.com said it was worth $33,775. The thing is, the car is worth what you and the dealer determine the car should be sold for. Good luck, hope you get a great deal.

They're asking about $30K around here for used S2000s... two months ago, there were twenty used S2000s for sale in my area and some as low as $26K. Now there are only three available and all are listed at $30K.

Convertibles are very seasonable. If you want the best deal, wait until Nov./Dec. If you want to enjoy the Spring, Summer, and Fall in your S2000, you're gonna pay a premium.

 

And take the VIN to another honda dealer and ask them to bring up a repair history for you (or ask the selling dealer to show it to you) to see if they've had any major work done, engine replacements, etc.

Also, be sure to check CarFax for any problems in that area. You NEVER know.

 

I just traded my 2001 silverstone/red w/ 10,000 mi and the dealer allowed me $29,200. They sold it three weeks later for $29,800.
