Default Crazy tach/cluster idea...would this work?

Would a cluster from a CBR1000 be doable?

I think it would be neat. I would think most of the wiring could be done for the auxillary stuff, but what about the tach and speedo? I guess you would need some kind of electric VSS.

Thoughts?

Will that would be badass if you could get it to work. They sell systems like this for formula ford cars so its definitely possible. I always see them in grassroots magazine.

get yourself a signal generator and a oscilloscope to find out if the speedo matches upto a stock honda's pluses... if not you'll have to build a board to convert the siganl

So, I was thinking the speedo might be the only hiccup in this whole thing.

It would just make a lot of noise at that rpm, don't ask how I know.

Anyone happen to know the wiring diagram for the RC51 or the 1000RR?

This would be nice with a more usable tach.
