anyone heard anything about the supercharger?
i have heard a few people talk about how i think comptech had a supercharger coming out but i cant find any info on the net and i was just wondering if anyone heard anything as to when it is coming out or about the price of it..
The Comptech supercharger is still under development and they don't say when the release date will be. Here's the link.

thanks alot. looks sweet. does anyone know what the kit will need or include like injectors or fmu. sounds like a noob question but i am not familiar wit superchargers
also will the pcm have to been sent into comptech like the rsx's did?

Superchargers, like a comptech unit or jackson racing will give added power with good reliability at low compression. When higher boost levels are used you will probably need to lower the compression and rebuild the head to avoid the risk of blowing up your engine.
As far as cybernation, I have heard bad things, like bad welds and faulty engineering. I could be wrong but thats what I have heard. Plus a low boost supercharger will add needed grunt to the bottom end and vtec will hit the top end.
Either way you can't loose if you research and install the parts correctly.

Only at high boost levels if you really want crazy horsepower. 11:1 is not a good compression ratio and forced induction on anylevel will be harmful to an engine not designed for it. Not that it can't handle it, but lower compresion pistons and other engine work to accomidate boost would be a good start if you plan on high horsepower.
I know that GReddy is also still working on their turbo-kit too. Right now it's a prototype that is apparently pushing 400hp. Sounds too good to be true???...that's b/c it is! I've read that too much power is causing other engine components to fail from being over-stressed. Logical thinking would suggest lowering the boost/power gain a little bit and being a little more practical...but hey, they're the designers. I'm considering the Comptech SC personally.

The head is fine
Dynamic compression is the enemy with a high static comp ratio --- thicker headgaskets have worked successfully on many Hondas with boost
THe fuel/ignition tuning is the most vital part --- many Hondas run on 12-15psi with headgaskets and proper tuning -- the Si should be no different
