Default new guy to the honda realm

Hey all, I used to be a toyota guy, and used to have an 88 Supra, but it was lost to the racing gods, and I became suddenly broke.

I was talking to a coworker of mine, and he turned me onto how easily and cheaply a honda can be made to go fast. so I went onto craigslist and got myself a little EF hatch. I have a bit of money left over, so here are the mods that are going onto the car within the next month or so:

-Si intake manifold and fuel system
-walbro fuel pump and DSM injectors
-my buddies giving me a small turbo setup for $150
-probly goin for a ground control spring/sleeve kit, might just get some race springs, and tokiko or koni shocks..

in the near future, I hope to get the parts necessary for an AWD conversion out of a station wagon...

I'm a total noob when it comes to hondas, so bear w/ me when it comes to some of my techical questions.

if you have any questions about toyotas, feel free to ask, I'll help where I can!

I hope this community is as welcoming as some of the other ones I've been a part of.

Welcome man you will have fun with your old hatchie. This community will be pretty welcoming, just be sure to search the site for information before posting a thread (in the top right of your screen, I'm sure you see it). The mods try to keep duplicate threads to a minumum so that it does not get too cluttered and polluted. You will be glad to know that there is quite a wealthy bit of knowledge on here all archived and stuff.

You will probably get random internet big-talkers and loud mouths, but those people come standard with any group having over 180,000 people. So don't let the ******** get to you. Anyhoo...

Welcome

well, hopefully, I'll be able to get another supra, but that wont be for a while, and I need something to satisfy my racing itch while I dont have one, and I'm on a strict budget of little to no money, so I figured, theres so much cometition in the aftermarket over hondas, that the prices have to be pretty cheap, and they are, so it works out...

ya, the prices for honda parts are like 1/3rd the price of an equivalent part fo' the supra.
