Default Automatic ZC Engine better or worse?

My gf's dad pointed out to me that my new SOHC ZC engine has a torque converter on it! I don't know why I didn't see it...

So it must be from an automatic car. I know it will work just fine, but i was wondering if my power will suffer? Do they have any differences?

everyone says they are the same but less abused... I am not sure. I had one for awhile. It felt pretty much the same as a 5 speed, but it blew it pretty quick

Like he said, there perfered because their probably less beat on. I got my DOHC ZC and it was auto, everything under the valvecover is shiney and no baked on oil. To the best of my knowladge, its been well taken care of.

Likely.

Another vote for being the same but less abused. The Intake Manifold is a little differant on the DOHC version atleast, 2 vaccum lines that need to be plugged in the back. If the idle is really weird when you start it up, play around with the vaccum lines.

Your engine still had the converter left on it? Seems weird for some reason, mine only came with the flywheel-ish plate that the converter bolts up to.
