Default HELP with an Engine Swap__ D16 into CRX

I have a 1991 CRX HF and was wondering if a D16 SOHC V-Vtec would fit in my car WITHOUT new motor mounts. I know it will go into my car but do I need new motor mounts?

dude, i think thats a straight swap... is it a OBD 0 motor (what year car did it come from)? if you dont know, what color are the plugs on the dizzy, grey or yellowish brown? you will prob have to wire vtec. Can anyone confirm this?

I have a D16Z6 in my 91 HF. I am tearing the alarm out of it right now and working on the interior. I am also in the process of installing my P28 and conversion harness and vtec subharness. Also will be installing a new Vtec solenoid, timing cover, speedometer cable clip and a 4-wire O2 sensor.

The motor is sitting on the stock motor mounts. I would get new mounts or atleast some inserts to help support the motor. The Vtec was controlled by a rpm actuated switch and soon it will be controlled by the ECU.

This is my first car, I am a truck guy. So tackling someone else's swap mistakes is hard, but I am doing pretty good, especially with the help of this forum.

Thanks for the help guys. So far so good. Just got my motor yesterday and it looks good. All I need is a new P28 and some headers. Then the exhaust since the stock one is rusted together.

Does anyone have suggestions for an exhaust system? And maybe some headers?
