I'm looking for a professional car audio installer in the 310 or 562.
I don't want to go to Circuit City, Best Buy, Al & Eds, or any other store like that.
Can anyone recommend a good shop?
Thanks.

I appreciate the tip, but let's keep this on topic.

Are you kidding me, or what? I need two amps wired and mounted, and most importantly, I need a clean install.
I'd like to see you or anyone else do that in 5 minutes .....or even 30 minutes for that matter.

i install at circuit city for a living. a couple of amps and subs are fairly easy to do. why dont you want to take it a big shop? its not that expensive and everyone is certified. take time to explain to the installer what you want, and im sure it will come out right. and plus if a big shop ***** your car up their insurance pays for it, better than having any geek of the streets do it and expletive up and you get nothing back.
heres what circuit city charges(in washington)
subwoofer/subwoofer amp install..54.99+tax.
4channel amp install...64.99+tax.
you still need to buy parts(ie amp kit, RCAs, connectors).

The reason I didn't want to take it to a big namw store is because of the myth that the installers can hide behind the stores " installation guarantee" and do **** quality work with no repercussions. I realize that not all big store installers are the same, and that there's actually some quality guys out there. I have the problem that my amps and sub were not purchased from any of the big name stores. It's fair to say that an installer may not take the same precautions wiring up my parts as he/she would if the parts were bought in-house.

this man explained it all
for any reason your stuff stops working you can bring it back to ANY circuit city location, out of state or not, and get it looked at and fixed if its an install problem. I, myself as an installer, take more time and care installing things that customers bring in because if i mess up a customers own product im screwed. Circuit city then would have to replace the product for the customer, and it is marked as a self insured lose(SIL) in which we get written up for and if its bad enough fired.

Yeah, I suppose you guys are right. I'll give them a shot. I went to a few local shops and the majority of them have punk kids doing the labor. The kind of guys who couldn't care less about being careful and patient.
I'll stop by the local Best Buy and Circuit City and see what they can do for me.
Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.
