Default Pics of my sohc turbo build, in progress(56k no way)

Well this is how it started, got a ride in a boosted sohc and from that point i knew this is what i wanted over winter.

My orginal plan was to have it repainted and put the stock fenders back in place. I had a grahic painted on 2 years ago from the ricer in me. But it will be gone in summer. I figured go to the motor over looks. right?

so here we go.

Started with the skunk2 proseries intake mani.

then the install of the mani first!

and installed

glad to be off the jack stands

getting ready to put the front mount on! And here you see the ghey on the sides!!(flaming welcome!)

The next thing to do on the list:

cometic hp (.040) triple layer head gasket
ARP head studs
O.E. timing belt and tensior
all other belt.

here is a pic with the head pulled, dont worry it got covered up!!

dont have any pics of mounting the i/c, but just an after pic.

Then, bought my bmc log mani. It was just raw unfinished steel so i bought some Hi temp(2200 degree) paint.

I had bought a small T3, .48 .42 decided that it would spool to wuick and not have as much potenial to pull to redline. So i opted for a new T3 super 60 .48 hot side .63 cold side.

Dont have pics from installing the i/c piping or anything. But here is the mani on turbo mounted. Still need the downpipe

Well next came the downpipe. 3" RLD-fab downpipe. Well turns out my super 60 doesnt have a normal flange so only 2 of the 5 bolts lined up! So it went back out to be corrected witht he correct 50 dollar flange!!! yikes.

I should be getting my turbo mani and the downpipe back in the next week, then ill snap some more pics of that install with other pics also. Should be completed in the next 3 weeks or so and ill keep updating pictures. Let me know what you think so far

Yeah I like my pics big, but nice project for sure. My friend's turbonetics t3 super 60 also came with that non-standard ford 5-bolt flange, which he didnt realize until he blew the turbo and went to bolt up a new one that didnt work at all....
Good luck w/it. Post some vids when you're done.
