my gf has a crv and the light came on. i drive her car and its annoying. how do i take it off

 

The maintnence light is triggered by mileage either every 7,500 or 10,000 miles depending on the model year. It just means it's time to either change the oil or do some maintnence. But i've gotta know what year it is so I can tell you how to do it.
But i'll take a guess since you did say it was a light.
Turn the key off holt the trip/ reset button in. Turn the ignition on while still holding the button. In about 10 seconds it should go off.
There is no way to disable it unless you just take the light out.

 

i think its a 2002. so hold down the odometer then turn on the ignition? ill try that tomorrow. thanks!
