Just practice driving the car normally for a few hundred miles then unless you are idiot shifting there won't be any further problems.

take it easy on the car, get used to the close gearing, at 70+ you should be on 5th gear or 6th

all you gotta do it flick your wrist "downwards" to 4th.. youre probably too nervous or excited that you end up jerking the shifter diagonally towards you that makes you shift down to 2nd. downwards, bro.. not diagonally.

shift. feel. learn. (Nissan commercial? hell no.)

If all sounds the same, and runs the same youre fine. If you heard a little more tapping than normal, you could have bent a valve - Id seriously doubt it though if all is running well.

Again, if it's running fine now, you probably didn' t do any real harm. And as far as some here have said that you should be in 5th or 6th at 70 or 80 plus? mine red lines at around 94 mph in 3rd! I don't know what they're thinking, but 4th would be the right gear! Did your rear wheels lock up when you down shifted into 2nd?

get the valves checked. If you did float a valve, the damage may not show until later. More than likely you are ok though
