its overkill but a good turbo, its good for 600+whp, but by the looks of your build you only plan to make like 400whp

yeah full boost by around 5300maybe on low boost. the turbo is good to 30+psi but your only gonna use 15 of it, i think a gt30r would be better suited for your setup, unless your leaving room for the future

well by the looks of it your setup is good for 500whp so the turbo isnt too bad for you.

the .63 a/s is alittle small for me...im want to make between 400-500 whp...for the turbo setup:
equal length manifold
3" downpipe
maeby turbonetics evolution wastegate or tial 38mm wastegate
hks bov
2.5 mandrel bent charge piping
big fmic 12x3x34
planning to boost 15lb when race and maby 5-8lb for daily driving
do you think the dual stage boost control good for this setup?

For your power goals I would have got a gt30r... Spool up would have been better and U still could get up too 450-500 HP.. It's a much better for a street setup like yours..

Look at this LS gt30r dyno:
http://forums.evans-tuning.com...=3084

Still got 450 hp on high boost and had also had alot of usable power. MAKING the a car fun to drive and fast..

As far as the 44 being too big for you, you'll want to have the bigger wastegate...

you're using a large turbo on low boost.... and that means that you're going to be by passing alot of the exhast gases on the top end and you're going to have some serious boost creeping issues if you run the 38mm.

we made 573 on race gas, and 470 on pump........on a B16!!!!!!!!! with a .63AR, vtec set at 4500, the car shredded BFG drag radials non stop

the 30R would have probably better suit your spool likings and power goals

just keep it , dont look back on your purchase. Youll have lots of potential with that turbo for the future incase you get bored.

You can buy a $1300 ball bearing turbo that may be too big for your setup, but spending $100 more on a Tial 44mm over a Tial 35/38mm is overkill?

You may want to reevaluate your plans for the car then if things like a good wastegate aren't as important as how big your turbo is.

Just my opinion.

I read on a thread in Evans-Tuning that there is no difference between the spool of a 30R to a 35R..... and the 35R might actually spool slightly faster. He would know since he swapped the 35R for the 30R on his race car.
