d series: RC injectors wont fit
I recently bought a set of used 310s that were formally in a gsr and they wont fit. The o ring is still inside the motor.I didnt try pulling them out and puting them on the injectors and then trying it.I figured they would fit. Do i need diffrent o rings?
the injectors aren't suppose to fit inside the o-ring. they sit on top and seal that way.
so you did it correct. leave the o-rings in the IM and install the injectors into the fuel rail. put the rail on and center up the injectors, then tighten down the rail making sure the injectors stay centered.
dont worry i freaked out when i first installed my injectors too but RC told me thats how its suppose to be. i havent had any problems yet.

d and b are different. But i thought it was only the height.... maybe thats between obd I and II now i can't remember. But i know i didn't have any that worked on my friends B. My 450's wouldn't fit either, i just made them, all is fine, no leaks, and now the slide right in

The injectors SHOULD sit *IN* the orings. Thats how they sit stock. You simply have to dremel the oring larger and you are on your way. Did this quite a few times with various engines I have built as well as my own. I have never had an issue. I guess if you like spending money for something you could have done for free in under a minute, then cool.

B and D are not different in physical deminsions, only in flow... and thats only when comparing the lower end D's to the B series.

i know thats how they are stock. thats why when i ran into this problem on my gsr, i called RC and they said not to worry, the injectors sit on top of the seal and dont fit all the way in the o-ring.
i have also heard of people dremeling the o-rings and it worked fine. but i thought that was mainly on dsm injectors not brand new RC injectors that were sent with new o-rings.
